The position  

As a Marketing Data Scientist, you will provide tactical and strategic insights to improve marketing effectiveness and enable strategic decisions. You will work in a team with other Data Scientists who share knowledge and experience in researching and developing data products and analysis. You will also build strong relationship between marketing and data science and be the go-to-person when it comes to marketing analytics. You love researching and prototyping with statistical and machine learning methodologies that enable descriptive and prescriptive data products to improve and understand marketing campaign strategies. You enjoy working with teammates and close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

Marketing plays a key role in NENT’s growth and statistical research is a central role in making decisions.    
  • As a Marketing Data Scientist, you will play a key role in taking marketing analytics to the next level. By tapping into NENT’s Data Lake, you will work with stakeholders to identify research questions, then conduct everything from exploratory data analyses to statistical decomposition – all in the name of an improved marketing strategy.   
  • Our technology stack offers great opportunities to showcase and develop your data science skills. You will work on AWS for computation and storage, using R and Scala/Spark to breathe life to cloud-based data analyses.    
What we are looking for  

Successful candidates also meet the following requirements: 

  • Strong communicator and listener  
  • Previous experience in marketing analytics and Google Analytics 
  • Affinity towards teaming up with other curious minds to tackle analytical challenges  
  • Curiosity to conduct research while able to find practical ways to translate into a reliable, customer-facing data products. 
  • Academic degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or equivalent  
  • Familiarity and experience solving product problems through statistical models and machine learning techniques (e.g. gradient boosting, neural networks, etc), among others.  
  • High competence in R and SQL. Scala and Python are extra pluses.
