SFCC Architect / Lead Developer

Valtech is seeking a SFCC Architect / Lead Developer (all genders) to join our team and work for a world renowned luxury company. This role combines architecture design, project delivery, and ongoing support for our Salesforce Commerce Cloud solutions. We have delivered over 150 projects based on Salesforce for world-famous brands such as L’Oréal, Sanofi, Deciem, and numerous NDA luxury projects. 

MACH
Valtech is a founding member of MACH Alliance, a group that educates enterprises on best-of-breed Microservices, APIs, Cloud, and Headless (MACH) technology. Among the projects delivered work for Levi’s, BMW Online Store, and Aerolíneas Argentinas. 

A day in the life of a SFCC Architect / Lead Developer (all genders)  

You'll be joining the digital team of a major luxury brand with a global presence. Our team, based in France and India, manages e-commerce applications with worldwide reach. Salesforce Commerce Cloud, our primary platform, enables the creation and management of personalized digital experiences across various channels.

As the senior SFCC expert, your responsibilities will encompass:

Architecture

• Design and evolve the SFCC platform architecture and associated components
• Advise client tech executives on architectural decisions and platform evolution
• Benchmark new tools, best practices, and technologies to align with the product roadmap

Delivery

• Lead the implementation of new features and improvements
• Ensure high-quality development practices and code standards
• Foster collaboration within the team and across other departments

Support

• Serve as the primary point of contact for SFCC technology
• Oversee maintenance and optimization of existing solutions
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to the development team

Team Development

• Enhance global expertise levels and track staff career development
• Oversee expert onboarding and create training plans
• Advise on team composition and resource allocation

You and the role 

You are someone with +5 years of experience in SFCC, Java/JEE development. Front-end development also arouses your interest. You are a hands-on profile who can lead by example, coach, develop expertise of other profiles in the field, communicate to the team and the client.

We would love if you have:

• 5+ years of experience with SFCC, Demandware and Java/JEE development
• Strong background in architecture design and solution delivery
• Experience with SpringBoot, TypeScript, and Cloud technologies
• Proficiency in front-end knowledge
• Excellent communication skills in English (French is a plus)
• A collaborative mindset and ability to lead by example
