Background
SCANIA is undergoing a transformation from a traditional supplier of trucks, buses, and engines to a provider of complete and sustainable transport solutions. As part of this initiative, we seek a motivated and technically proficient master's thesis candidate to investigate the potentials of additive manufacturing (AM) within the final assembly of trucks. This research aims to enhance our production processes and drive innovation in manufacturing technologies.
Objective
The purpose of this thesis work is to analyze the feasibility and potential benefits of implementing additive manufacturing technologies in the production of tools and aids for truck assembly, with a focus on cost savings, lead time reductions, and sustainability.
