Tetra Pak Development & Technology (D&T) seeks to deliver innovative and reliable solutions to our Customers at the right cost and at the right time. Within Sealing & Materials, the Sealing Application & Modelling team is now looking for a Development Engineer that will secure focus and drive on the integration of Sealing Solutions in development projects. As a Development Engineer representing the Sealing & Materials organization and one of the key Competence areas of the Company, you will work together with different competences  and cross borders necessary to develop and deploy robust packaging and equipment solutions.

The position is based in Lund and may require some travelling. 

As our new Development Engineer, you will:

• use your understanding of Sealing science and engineering and your technical leadership abilities to solve technical problems, leading and executing the engineering tasks.
• work on development of new or improved products/systems, breaking down sealing requirements, Verification & Validation (V&V) elaboration and execution in virtual rigs, physical rigs or filling equipment, looking to achieve the required Sealing Quality of the package and robust integration of sealing technology in the selected environment. You will use a variety of engineering methods to meet specifications, have technical responsibility for the coordination and execution of specific projects activities, bringing forward new technical insights based upon original ideas and new innovative approaches to solve problems.

In this work, knowledge of the Sealing technologies, Sealing vs Packaging Material interaction and the understanding of the critical interfaces in the filling machine are important capabilities. Focus on Sealing Quality and sealing solutions integration for our customers is the relevant part of this job. Collaboration and networking with several organizations in an international environment is key in this role, so you shall have open-mind and positive approach and a high drive.

• Technical education as Master of Science degree in technical discipline, preferably in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Physics, Material or equivalent) with high drive and engagement and natural attitude towards collaboration and networking
• competence in the technical area, related to filling equipment, components and experience in Verification& Validation for technical complex areas.

We expect you to:

• work autonomously and act as a point of contact to colleagues.
• apply expert knowledge to solve problems.
• contribute to improvements and provide input on development. move in a multi-dimensional task (from details to high level picture for the specifc area).
• combine multiple disciplines covered within D&T, from requirement analysis and break-down to V&V design and execution to network within specialists in our competence area. 

Collaborations skills, a high willingness to continue to learn and act as technical reference is essential. Since your work will involve international collaborations, it is important that you have good team-playing skills, very good presentation skills, are result oriented and have very good written and spoken English.
You also have personal drive and are independent in the exploration of the given task, taking initiatives and proposing solutions and actions. You will be engaged in working and leading activities in different contexts, such as technology developments, product developments and on issue resolution activities also directly at Customer site.
