Connectivity at Scania is one of the key components in Scania “driving the shift” strategy. At Connected Systems, we develop and operate Scanias IoT solution. It span from in-vehicle, via Telecom to the Scania back-end platform.
Scania is one of Stockholm’s largest software companies and we build our software around a product that weighs over 3,5 ton, traveling in 90 km/h and that is the blood vein of our society (the transport system).
Scania today have over 500.000 (and counting) vehicles and other products connected online. The department Connected Systems is looking for a developer to help us drive the development of new connectivity solutions in our projects within electrification, autonomy and data streaming.

What you will do
You will work in a of our DevOps team. You will design, develop, deploy and monitor the solution. You will mostly develop code in our back-end in AWS. From time to time you will also have the pleasure to develop on our in-vehicle unit(telematic ECU).

At Scania R&D, within the Connectivity unit, we work with the future's sustainable transport system and the connected vehicle. Our responsibility is to ensure that data from the vehicles can be used by the various connected services, to generate as much customer value as possible. You get a key role in shaping tomorrow's connected transport system.
Your work assignment
We are now looking for an experienced software developer to strengthen our growing team. We are responsible for functions that interact with the vehicle. Our focus right now is to build a Over The Air (OTA) SW update service to enable SW update of the entire truck.
The team is responsible for both embedded development (C++) and backend development in AWS (Amazon Web Services).
The role includes a lot of cross functional work within Scania, to get requirements and align implementations, with other Scania SW development teams.
As a person, you are pragmatic and communicative, with a genuine technical interest. You are goal-oriented and like challenges. You have a high quality focus and like to be at the forefront.
You have an academic education at university level in engineering physics, electrical engineering, computer science or equivalent work experience. You communicate fluently in English, in both speech and writing.
You have at least three years experience of software development. You are fluent in a high-level language like C#, Java or Python (preferably C#). C++ experience is a plus. You have cloud development experience (preferably AWS).
You are used to deliver business critical software and you take pride in your deliveries.
