About the job

Relatively newly formed RVC, Vehicle Concept Development, is driving the conceptual development at vehicle level. Our projects are characterized by new exciting technologies in forms of electrification, fuel cells, autonomy, new materials, and more. We take part in early pre-development projects, or other initiatives to ensure that Scania's vision "Driving the shift" becomes a reality.

Your work assignments

You will be working in a Vinnova project - ”Hållbara & Integrerade urbana TransportSystem”, where parts of R&D and external stakeholders will be represented. The aim is to understand and to accelerate the development of an efficient and sustainable freight transport system in the city. In urban planning today one goal is to find more sustainable logistical systems that are more effective and gives less impact on the environment.

We believe you are creative person who is interested in future urban development and sustainability. The climate change is real and this is a chance to make a difference. More specifically you will develop vehicles and load carriers that are designed for sustainable, cost-effective and customized logistics flows. At the moment several scenarios are imaginable, and you might find others. In a team you will take the ideas from the sketch phase to functional protoypes.

Our team is characterized by great commitment, creativity, and open minds. It's never far to laugh - it should be fun to go to work!

You are entering a very exciting time when the industry is facing major technology shifts. If you want to be part of shaping Scania's future, this is the role for you!

Your profile

We are looking for you who are communicative, take the initiative and who see opportunities. You have a positive attitude, you easily make new contacts and appreciate working both in teams and on your own. You need to be flexible and be prepared for the fact that conditions can change quickly in an increasingly changing world.

  • You have an university degree in automotive-/product development.
  • You are genuinely curious, creative, and have an open mind.
  • You are interested in sustainability and environmental questions.
  • You have documented good skills in programs such as Catia / Alias or similar.
