As the IT Project Manager you'll be managing both in-house and outsourced IT projects focused on choosing the right tech solutions, estimating the work effort, planning sprint backlogs, daily status updates, conducting sprint demos and retrospective meetings throughout all phases of the project.
This means that the IT Project Manager will be working closely with the Product Owner and the distributed IT teams and Technology vendors, making sure deliverables reflect requirements, on-time with production quality

About the job

Responsibilities:

  • Be the Interface between the software developers and the Product Owners to ensure the full scope of technical requirements are covered and approved
  • Manage and control day-to-day project activities, issues, risks, quality, and budget.
  • Create and manage timelines for all projects and report progress.
  • Build a joint project plan with a vendor and manage to that plan.
  • Lead internal software development teams.
  • Assemble project and product scope documents for competitive bidding process and participates in the review, evaluation, and selection of professional services vendors
  • Ensure that the verification, validation, and approval activities are planned and executed
  • Ensure that technical documentation is completed and quality standards are applied
  • Define and develop technical requirements associated with the projects.
  • Work simultaneously on several projects with varied, multiple deliverables, team members and audiences requiring ongoing prioritization and relationship management
  • Anticipate, recognize and resolve problems
  • Manage stressful situations and changing priorities effectively
  • Ensure workflow progresses efficiently and projects / staff are organized as priorities shift
  • Help set and improve IT department processes
  • Risk mitigation and contingency planning

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years related professional experience
  • Strong technical background and hands-on software development experience to provide highly-credible leadership to development teams and to be able to accurately and objectively evaluate complex project designs and risks.
  • Solid understanding of software development life cycle models as well as expert knowledge of Agile project management principles
  • Experience translating business requirements into technical requirements
  • Demonstrate strong written and verbal Swedish and English communication skills.
  • Experience with managing internal and external vendors/service providers
  • Posses the ability to adapt well to change in direction and priorities in a project and deadline-oriented environment
  • Demonstrated ability to manage large technical projects
  • Demonstrated an excellent understanding of technical and commercial constraints
  • Ability to prioritize activities and requirements according to business needs or strategic objectives
  • Be responsible and accountable, inspire teamwork and responsibility
  • Maintain a positive and success-oriented attitude

Desired:

Experience with Request for Information (RFI) and Request for Proposal (RFP) processes

Experience of projects involving solution development based on cloud (Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud), web or mobile application architecture

Good knowledge of continuous code delivery and deployment using DevOPS/CI (Continuous Integration) tool

Experience using collaborative tools such as JIRA, Confluence, GIT/GitLab etc.
