Senior Technical Operations Engineer

As STOE at Icomera you will be responsible for development and operations of both internal and production systems, you will join a growing team of 3 engineers who deliver systems that enable high-speed Internet access on board trains and buses all over the world.

You will interface with the R&D-organization, customer support as well as marketing and sales.

The technology

Icomera uses a wide array of technologies to deliver their services , you will be working with:

• Linux (Debian) and Windows Server
• SQL and Databases (MySQL / Postgres)
• Storage and file systems (ZFS, LVM, NFS, Clustered storage)
• Networking (L2 and L3)
• VPN (OpenVPN, IPSEC)
• HTTP, SSL/TLS, Certificate management
• Webservers, proxies and load balancers (Apache, NGINX, HAproxy)
• RADIUS
• Virtualization and containers (KVM, VMware, LXC, Docker)
• DNS, DHCP, NTP, SMTP
• Version control (GIT, Subversion)
• Scripting and basic development (Shell, Python, Ruby)
• Java VM
• Amazon Web Services

The tech stack is quite extensive and you are not expected to know it all, however we are extra interested in candidates who are proficient with:

• Database skills, both technical DBA and data modelling.
• ZFS
• LVM
• Network and OS(kernel) tuning in Linux

Your background

Our ideal candidate has experience of working in a large industrial organization as well as in a delivery focused consultancy company. You are used to delivering pragmatic solutions, we’re looking for a problem solver with a good mix between technical know-how and service mindedness. Bonus if you have experience of standardizing a technical solution from an enterprise perspective

Good proficiency in English is required. Swedish is preferred.
