SEB’s Group Data Privacy Office is recruiting for an Associate in Data Privacy. This is a permanent, full-time role based in Stockholm, Sweden.

What you will be doing

You will be part of a team that operates on an SEB Group level that is responsible for setting the organisational, risk and process framework for complying to data protection laws and regulations. You will be part of a positive team with motivated and friendly colleagues. The team works on behalf of SEB Controllers and is not the DPO function.

You will contribute to shaping SEB’s privacy programme by:

· Identifying risks and ensuring controls, policies and procedures are in place in order to mitigate the identified risks;

· Lead improvement initiatives as well as contribute to other colleagues’ initiatives;

· Support all business areas in the management of risk around data protection by being a subject matter expert;

· Be able to explain complex legal, regulatory and policy requirements to internal teams at all levels in a pedagogical way;

· Establish and maintain useful policies and procedures related to privacy;

· Perform quality assurance reviews;

· Design, implement and roll out training for all staff to increase awareness of data protection and foster a data privacy culture

· Keep updated with changes in data protection requirements and analyse if any initiatives are required.

Who we are looking for

To succeed and thrive in this role, we believe you should have:

· Minimum 2 years experience working with data protection implementation or within a legal, compliance, risk or audit function; within the financial sector is a bonus;

· Knowledgeable in data protection laws and topics; you will keep updated with changes in data protection requirements;

· Highly organised with attention to detail;

· Ability to assimilate and interpret information quickly;

· Manage a large and varied workload whilst meeting challenging deadlines;

· Work independently with enthusiasm but also in a team; you see the value of collaboration;

· Take a strategic and commercial approach but also conscious of reputational risks;

· Adept at finding workable solutions but you can also draw a firm line in the sand;

· Confident and methodical in approach;

· Able to take decisions under pressure on own initiative; setting and adjusting competing priorities in a rapidly changing environment;

· Fluent in English and Swedish

· Confident user of Microsoft Office
