The Position

As a Senior System Engineer at NENT, you will be responsible for developing, integrating and safeguarding solutions that supports NENT's internal business processes using Jira together with different add ons such as Insight, Scriptrunner, EazyBI as well as Slack. You will also be responsible for existing and future integrations between systems that unlocks the full potential of what we can do with the data that we have. 

As part of the NENT IT & Business Solutions teams, you will have a Key Role in a group of skilled colleagues. You will be part of our Atlassian guild but also work across many of our corporate functions to create solutions that deliver productivity & quality to our corporate users.  

The journey ahead 

We are currently working with enhancing the on- and off-boarding processes in Jira keeping track of all devices in Insight and pairing them with employee data imported from our HR system. We need you to love integrations, and understand how to connect Jira with a lot of other Business systems and also with Slack. You will use your expertise to create solutions for today as well as understand how the solutions can be delivering innovative advantages for tomorrow. 

Some of your daily tasks will include 

  • Take a leading position in developing new solutions in our Atlassian environment, building integrations between Jira & other systems and automating as much as possible. 
  • Advice on how to scale up, redesign and to put these ideas into the roadmap 
  • Understand the user’s needs and convert them into user friendly technical solutions. 
  • Take ownership of incidents with hard debugging and reverse engineering tasks. 
  • Together with the team, ensure that the backlog is coordinated and that tasks are prioritized and distributed between the team members in a reasonable and fair way. 
  • Document and communicate technical solutions to relevant stakeholders.  
What we are looking for 

To be our next colleague, we believe that you have several years' of experience working as an Atlassian administrator. You need to have a great deal of Business know-how, from HR processes, and other relevant workflows. We believe that you have built several integrations between Jira and other systems using API calls and webhooks, that you have been implementing solutions for Jira using Insight and ScriptRunner to fulfill complex requirements.  

Ideal candidates also meet the following requirements: 

  • A positive mindset and solutions orientated.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English (Swedish is a bonus). 
  • Previous experience with EazyBI is a bonus. 
  • Experience in scripting languages, for instance Groovy.
  • University studies within relevant field.
