We are now looking for an ambitious and agile Senior project manager for barrier circularity to join our Circular Packaging Hub team in IRD Packaging Materials. This role is based in Sweden and reports to Oliver Kuhn, VP, Circular Packaging Hub. In this role, you will collaborate closely with teams in IRD and Sustainability. This is a fixed-term parental leave substitution from 25 February until 31 March 2026.
The Packaging Materials division is a global leader in the circular economy with our premium renewable and recyclable packaging materials based on both virgin and recycled fiber. Addressing the needs of today's eco-conscious consumers, we help customers replace fossil-based materials with low-carbon, renewable and recyclable alternatives for their food and drink, pharmaceutical or transport packaging. A wide selection of barrier coatings enables design optimization for various demanding packaging end-uses.
The Circular Packaging Hub are working on business cases and technical solutions to ensure transition into circular bioeconomy by developing solutions across the value chains.

In this key role, your main responsibilities include home-compostable/biodegradable barrier development and barrier recyclability covering also regulatory impacts on barrier as like Packaging, Packaging waste Regulation (PPWD) and Single Used plastic directive (SUPD).

About you
We believe you have at least 3 years’ experience in demanding R&D for barrier solutions and corresponding material and a technical university degree.
We are looking for a skilled professional with ambition for pro-actively driving solution finding and corresponding implementation. You demonstrate a high level of accountability and work responsibly towards common goals. Furthermore, you are sharing knowledge, supporting, and inspiring others. Good capacity in presenting and writing in English is a merit
