An interesting opportunity and a broad role

Textron is growing and we are now looking for an Electrical Engineer to join our team. This is an interesting opportunity where you are offered a broad role with varied tasks within the electrical field. At our site in Trelleborg, we develop, produce and supply Safeaero de-icing vehicles to our customers all over the world, who are mostly airline companies and airports. You will work on the entire product development process, from electrical designing, to supporting the teams in production and testing.

About the job

You will be an important part of our engineering team with responsibility for supporting and developing the entire Safeaero product line. You will work within a small team of multi-disciplined engineers, supporting the current production, as well as different projects and new product development. You will collaborate with your colleagues in production, testing, sales, after sales and engineering at sites in other countries. Examples of responsibilities and tasks are:

Modification of electrical engineering and new design of complex electrical systems, e.g. design of electrical circuitry/logic elements/interlocks, design/incorporation of electrical/electronic subsystems which can be PLC’s, harnesses, control systems and data acquisition systems
Product support within e.g. hydraulic/cooling/pneumatics systems
Production support, e.g. shop floor troubleshooting as needed, technical assistance with prototype build-ups and documentation
Technical assistance with sales inquiries and aftermarket support issues

Your profile

We expect you to be a dedicated team player who is curious and able to learn quickly with a can-do attitude. You should be quality focused, reliable, accountable and able to deliver on time. You need to be agile and encourage new ways of looking at challenges, processes and solutions. You should also have good social skills and excellent communication skills in order to summarize, clarify and visualize information. You should be helpful and enjoy problem-solving.

Preferably, you will have an academic degree in electrical engineering or similar, and have several years of experience within the field. You like working with varied tasks, from hands-on to administrative, and with a complex product. You are experienced in AutoCad Electrical or similar and electrical schematics. It is advantageous if you have experience with automation/programming or an interest to learn. Your English and Swedish is fluent, both spoken and written.
