E-Commerce Business Analyst

A day in the life of an E-Commerce Business Analyst  

As an E-Commerce Business Analyst at Valtech you are critical to the success of our collaboration with our clients. You will immerse yourself in their needs and translate their input into a development assignment and optimize the implementation with the development team, in such a way that your clients can do their work even better.

In addition, you will: 

• Identify the business needs and recommend viable solutions to meet those needs and support strategic decision-making for now and the future
• Find and identify stakeholders in complex ecosystems to define applicable ways of working and communication styles, making sure you are seen as a trusted advisor by our clients
• Produce user journey maps, process models and other artefacts that help the team deliver according to the opportunity/challenge
• You are responsible for the end-to-end requirements engineering process including breaking down the requirements into epics, building and creating user stories and acceptance criteria
• Support and collaborate with the project management team in ensuring that project scope is managed and reported on
• Work closely with internal and client development team (cross functional) to prepare user stories for delivery
• Facilitate(client) workshops, client meetings, demos and a variety of team ceremonies; sprint planning, backlog grooming, refinements etc.

You and the role

You are someone with a minimum of 4 years of experience as a Business Analyst. Turning the project vision and user experience into deliverables the team can work with, is something that you feel comfortable doing.

We would love if you have 

• Experience and confidence managing a variety of stakeholders across all levels within the internal organization and client's organization.
• In-depth knowledge of eCommerce processes, even better if that’s a B2B context
• Comprehensive knowledge of workshop facilitation tools and techniques for a variety of project scenarios
• In-depth knowledge of Project delivery principles (Agile and Lean), and the ability to explain and educate others on them.
• Experience with the scrum framework and have worked within a (scaled) scrum team(s)
• Track record of working closely with other disciplines involved in delivery; development, QA, Design, UX, User Research, and Data with a consistent business value focus
• Fluent written and spoken communication skills in English – Dutch is a bonus, but not required.
