Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

Matsmart is an online store for surplus food. For our customers Matsmart offers a new way to shop food with high discounts while reducing unnecessary food waste and thereby contributing to a more sustainable society. For our suppliers we are part of their CSR strategy and support them in improving their environmental impact, reducing the financial burden of food waste at the same time.

Responsibilities

• Together with the whole tech team, design and build the next generation of the Matsmart platform 
• Prepare all tech to be scalable globally  
• Lead the strategy for technology platforms and vendors
• Supervise & safeguarde the performance of all core systems 
• Ensure that the customer is at the heart of everything we do 

Skills & Qualifications

• 7+ years of work experience in relevant fields and an international environment
• Experience in developing an e-commerce store 
• Knowledge in working with ERP (e.g. Visma Business) and/or WMS (e.g. Bitlog) are a strong plus
• Clear understanding of how technology should be optimized to contribute to revenue and profitability goals
• Good communicator to internal and external stakeholders 
• Excellent English, both written and spoken
