Sourcing Manager

What you’ll do:

As our Sourcing Manager, you will be responsible for selecting and managing ODMs and suppliers as well as setting a strategy for a specific category. You will also be responsible for setting the legal and commercial frameworks with the appointed ODMs and/or suppliers. Excitingly, you'll be part of the development of our new products, driving all sourcing activities from early cost estimate, request for quotation, award through to product launch. Your responsibilities will cover the following areas: 

Strategy and planning

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies together with relevant business stakeholders
• Develop deep understanding of assigned sourcing area, technology trends, market forces, cost structure, vendor base and supplier road maps

Supplier relationship and development

• Developing suppliers by setting goals, assessing performance and conducting business reviews
• Managing agreements and negotiating commercial terms and conditions
• Driving sourcing projects from issuing RFX’s to negotiations and signed agreements
• Driving continuous savings activities to improve our bottom line

Drive change

• Setting up processes and best practice to structure how the department works
• Contribute to Marshalls growth and development, including sourcing’s transformation and ensuring we act as one group regardless of what country we do business in

You probably have the following experiences & skills:

• Proven track record of Sourcing / Strategical Purchasing 
• Sourcing either electronic components, plastic injections, batteries or similar
• University degree (Msc or equivalent)
• Good technical understanding
• Analytical and negotiation skills
• Interest in sustainability
• Mandarin is an advantage but not a requirement
