What you will do
The team you will be leading is a team of 7 supplier quality engineers. As a group manager for this highly skilled and dedicated team, you will coach, encourage and challenge depending on individual needs and situations. They are responsible for giving input to design for manufacturing, releasing production processes at suppliers and working with long term supplier development, including supplier escalations.
Supplier Quality is part of Scania Procurement department and together with your commercial counterparts within Procurement you will set the strategies within your area of responsibility. This gives us strength in sharing experiences and knowledge.
Main tasks
It will be your mission to support the team in their daily work connected the following main tasks:
You will be part of a management team working close together and taking joint responsibility for our success. To help you manage the tasks we have supporting processes, standards and last but not least very helpful colleagues.
Your work will be very cross functional both internally at Scania and within TRATON brands. You will be part of finding common solutions with colleagues from Procurement, Research & Development, Production, and of course, our suppliers.
Since your team has suppliers both domestic and international, travelling will be part of your job as well. The need for travels is mainly decided by you and can be planned so it suits your situation.
Your profile
In this role you will meet and co-operate with diverse cultures, organizations and level of management. This requires you to be a highly professional, social and diplomatic person. With proven leadership skills you encourage team spirit and personal growth. You contribute actively by taking initiatives and supporting the future need of your team and the organisation with a state of mind in present leadership.
You are comfortable in the English language and have a technical background, engineering degree or similar. Previous experience from production and/or quality assurance of electrification parts is meritorious and managerial experience is preferred.
