About the Role
We are looking for a Finance Manager to lead and own our full finance function at TWISTSHAKE. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will take end-to-end responsibility for accounting, management reporting, financial systems, and cross-functional finance support. You will report directly to the CFO and lead a team of three.
The right person brings a CFO mindset to everything they do. You don’t see finance as a back-office function — you see it as the backbone of operational authority in the company. Your job is to make sure no “shit in, shit out” scenarios exist: data integrity, process discipline, and proactive financial governance are your baseline, not your ambition.
This role is being created as part of a broader organizational restructuring to free up CFO capacity for AI, automation, and strategic process development across the company.
About TWISTSHAKE
Twistshake is an innovative Swedish direct-to-consumer (D2C) brand within the baby and children's products industry, with global sales through our own e-commerce channels, retailers, and marketplaces. Today, our products are sold in more than 70 countries, and we continue our international growth journey with a strong focus on innovation, design, and digital commerce.
We are an entrepreneurial company where ideas quickly turn into action. With short decision-making paths and a fast-paced environment, every employee has the opportunity to make a real impact and contribute to our continued success.
Responsibilities
Accounting & Reporting
• Own the full accounting cycle A–Z: month-end close, year-end close, reconciliations, VAT, statutory reporting, and audit preparation.
• Build and continuously develop management reporting — deliver timely, accurate, and actionable financial insights to the CFO and leadership team.
• Take ownership of budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis. Drive the reporting cadence and ensure the business always has a clear financial picture.
Systems & External Partners
• Own all finance-related systems including ERP (Business Central), payment platforms, and reporting tools. You are the go-to person for how financial data flows through the organization.
• Manage relationships with external accounting consultants, auditors, tax advisors, and other financial service providers.
• Drive system improvements and integrations — identify inefficiencies and fix them, don’t wait for someone else to raise the issue.
Cross-Functional Finance Support
• Provide finance support to B2B, Marketplace (Amazon), and Online/D2C channels: customer creation, credit checks, AR review, collections, and invoicing.
• Define and document finance processes and ways of working with every related department — R&D, Purchasing, Operations, Sales, and Marketing.
• Ensure an A–Z process mindset: from purchase order to payment, from customer order to cash collection, every step has a defined owner and a clear process.
Leadership & Culture
• Lead the finance team (currently 2 + 1 incoming) with a proactive, high-standard mentality. Set the tone: we are not the last stop — we are the quality gate.
• Build a culture of financial authority: the finance team should be the department that ensures data quality, process compliance, and operational discipline across the company.
• Challenge the status quo. If something is broken, own it. If a process is missing, create it.
Qualifications
Required
• Proven experience in a senior accounting or finance lead role, ideally in an e-commerce, FMCG, or consumer goods environment.
• Advanced Excel skills — you are a true Excel power user (complex formulas, data modeling, financial templates).
• Strong understanding of ERP table structures and how financial data flows through integrated systems. You think in data models, not just journal entries.
• System and process-first approach: you instinctively look for how to systematize and automate rather than do things manually.
• Experience with BI/analytics tools, preferably Power BI. You can build and maintain dashboards and reports.
• AI-first mindset: you actively use AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, or similar) in your daily work and see them as core productivity tools, not novelties.
• Fluent Swedish and English, both written and spoken.
Preferred
• Experience working in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
• Familiarity with multi-market e-commerce operations (D2C, B2B, Amazon Vendor/Seller Central).
• Experience with payment service providers (Adyen, Klarna, or similar) and reconciliation of complex payment flows.
• Understanding of Swedish accounting standards and tax regulations.
Your Team
You will lead a finance team of three: one accountant (in place), one junior accountant (starting July 2026), and one interim consultant (transitioning out by end of August 2026). Your job is to build this into a self-sufficient, high-performing finance unit.
What We Offer
• A key leadership role in a fast-moving, international consumer brand selling across 20+ markets.
• Direct line to the CFO and co-founder — short decision paths, real influence.
• The opportunity to build and shape the finance function from the ground up.
• A company that is genuinely committed to AI and automation — we practice what we preach.
• At TWISTSHAKE, you'll join an entrepreneurial and inspiring workplace where you'll have the opportunity to make a real impact while developing both professionally and personally.
• Office in Stockholm, Sweden.
