The opportunity
We’re currently looking for a Finance Manager to join our Group Accounting team, with responsibility for the legal entity Polestar Performance AB (PPAB). In this role, you will oversee financial accounting and reporting, ensuring accuracy, compliance and timely delivery in line with applicable regulations and accounting standards, including K3 and IFRS. You will also play a key role in ensuring that reporting and processes align with established SOX controls.
As Finance Manager for PPAB, you will combine operational responsibility with leadership, managing a team of eight people and working closely with stakeholders across finance and the wider organisation. The role offers broad exposure to group reporting, external reporting and statutory processes in an international and publicly listed environment.
This position is located in Gothenburg, Sweden. We believe in a hybrid model when it comes to remote and onsite work, knowing that both in‑person collaboration and individual time to focus are needed. What matters most is having the right conditions to deliver high‑quality results.
The responsibilities
In this role, you’ll be expected to lead and coordinate accounting and reporting activities for PPAB while contributing to group‑wide processes. Working as part of Group Accounting, you’ll ensure reliable financial reporting and continuous improvement of ways of working.
Oversee and coordinate monthly financial closings in SAP and reporting in the AARO consolidation system, including related SOX controls
Review and analyse monthly financial reporting to ensure accuracy and compliance
Monitor liquidity levels and support covenant compliance processes in collaboration with Treasury and Financial Services
Contribute to the preparation of the Polestar Group Annual Report and quarterly reports filed with the SEC
Lead the preparation of statutory accounts and annual reports, including coordination with external auditors
Drive process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness within accounting and reporting
The ideal candidate
To succeed in this role, and at Polestar in general, you bring a strong sense of responsibility and a structured, analytical approach. You are comfortable leading teams in periods of high workload and tight deadlines, and you combine attention to detail with a broader understanding of financial control in an international context. You collaborate naturally across functions and communicate clearly with both financial and non‑financial stakeholders.
In addition, you’ll need the following qualifications:
A university degree in Finance, providing a solid foundation for accounting and financial control responsibilities
Several years of experience from similar roles within accounting, enabling you to manage closings, reporting and audits with confidence
Strong knowledge of K3 accounting and broad experience of IFRS and SOX in an international environment
Advanced Excel skills, used daily for analysis, reporting and follow‑up
Experience working with SAP ECC or SAP S/4 and consolidation tools such as AARO, supporting efficient reporting processes
