Data Platform Engineer

We are now looking for a Senior Python / Data Platform Engineer to join an existing team building a completely new solution from scratch.

Two engineers are already in place, and we are now strengthening the team with another highly hands-on senior profile who wants to be part of shaping architecture, technical direction, and delivery from day one.

This is the right role for someone who enjoys building scalable systems, solving complex technical problems, and taking ownership in fast-moving environments.

You will join a senior engineering team working on a greenfield solution with a strong focus on backend development, data platform engineering, and cloud-native delivery.

The role requires someone who is comfortable working close to code, architecture, and infrastructure, while collaborating with the team on design decisions and technical roadmap.

• Build scalable backend services in Python

• Develop distributed and asynchronous processing workflows

• Design ingestion pipelines and storage structures

• Contribute to Lakehouse and Data Mesh architecture

• Work with orchestration and workflow pipelines

• Support cloud-native deployments in Azure

• Collaborate on frontend-facing interfaces and APIs

• Take ownership of technical decisions and implementation

• 6–10+ years of hands-on industry experience

• Strong professional background from real production environments

• Advanced Python development experience

• Experience with Asyncio, parallel processing, and distributed computing

• Strong experience in data platform architecture

• Lakehouse / Data Mesh experience

• DevOps and cloud experience within Azure

• Kubernetes and Docker

• Orchestration tools such as MinIO, Dagster or Apache Airflow

• Experience working close to user interfaces / frontend is highly valued
