Supplier Developer

Reliable deliveries and strong supplier performance are essential for us to create sustainable value for our customers and Supplier Development plays a key role in securing this by working closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders to continuously improve delivery performance and operational efficiency.

This is a 6‑month assignment, to strengthen our capability and capacity to manage a directed focus activity, offering a great opportunity—particularly for internal candidates—to explore a new area, broaden their competence, and contribute in a role with clear impact across the supply chain.

Your role

As a Supplier Developer, a specialist role, you work closely with suppliers, Global Sourcing and Logistics colleagues, and production to secure stable delivery performance and drive continuous improvement across the supply chain.

You take an active role in improving material flow, delivery precision, stock levels, and lead times. By working proactively, you identify potential supply risks early and initiate actions to prevent deviations. When issues occur, you collaborate with suppliers and production units to restore performance through structured Supplier Development Plans.

Key responsibilities include:

• Driving supply improvement initiatives related to delivery performance and lead times
• Identifying and mitigating supply risks through business interruption studies
• Resolving delivery deviations together with suppliers and production units
• Following up supplier performance against defined KPIs
• Ensuring compliance with Sourcing and Logistics requirements and Atlas Copco standards
• Initiating and driving continuous improvement activities in the supply chain

You also support Strategic Category Buyers and project purchasing, contribute delivery input to the Sourcing Board, participate in Supplier Relationship Management and Category Management forums, and ensure relevant information is shared and maintained in our systems. The role includes the mandate to place requirements on suppliers and request preventive and corrective actions when needed.

You report to Team Manager Supplier Quality Engineering.

To succeed, you will need

To succeed in this assignment, you are comfortable taking ownership of delivery performance while working collaboratively across organizational boundaries. You combine a structured and fact‑based approach with the ability to build trust and set clear expectations with suppliers.

You bring experience from supplier management, sourcing, logistics, or manufacturing, and have a solid understanding of supply chain flows and delivery processes. You are skilled at identifying risks, analyzing performance data, and driving corrective and preventive actions. Just as important, you communicate clearly, work well with diverse stakeholders, and have a continuous improvement mindset.

Job location

This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, allowing you to split your time between working remotely and being on-site at our office in Stockholm, Sweden (SE).
