Senior Data Engineer to IT Data & Analytics Team | SEB Life & Pension, Solna

We are currently looking for a Senior Data Engineer with several years of experience in Data Warehousing to strengthen our Data and Analytics team at SEB Pension & Försäkring.


About the role

As a Senior Data Engineer you’ll primarily work in our two main data platforms, based on SQL Server (SSIS). Work consists of both maintenance and development tasks. The team has also started to investigate Google cloud platform and once you’re familiar with the main platforms you’ll be able to start contributing to that work. However, please note that the majority of your tasks will be done on SQL Server (SSIS) for the foreseeable future.

You will be responsible for:

  • Designing, developing and maintaining SEB Pension & Försäkring’s Data Warehouses ­ including ETLs in SSIS (C#)
  • Design and develop the new cloud-based solution in Google cloud platform (GCP)
  • Work closely with BI developers and business analysts to support data requirements for reporting and analysis

To thrive in this role, we believe you have:

  • Several years of experience working with DW development (SSIS ETL, SQL Server)
  • Programming languages: T-SQL, C#
  • Databases: MSSQL
  • Strong understanding and experience of Data Warehouse Principles and Designs.
  • Analytical skills and able to handle complex information
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and strong sense of responsibility
  • Great communication skills and fluency in English, spoken and written

  • Meriting:  

  • Experience in the Google cloud platform (GCP) based data apps
  • Python
  • Tableau or Qlikview
  • Test automation
  • Agile ways of working, both SCRUM and scaled agile frameworks
  • Fluency in Swedish
