Role Summary

We’re looking for a hands-on Data Engineer to join our small team within Traton Charging Solutions to take full ownership of our data infrastructure. We’re seeking you who thrives on autonomy, problem-solving, and building robust data systems from the ground up.

You’ll be responsible for designing, building and maintaining the entire data ecosystem, from ETL processes and data pipelines to preparing data sets for self-service analytics.

While the focus is on data engineering and preparation, you’ll also have the chance to work on data analytics, helping the business uncover insights and make data-driven decisions through dashboards and reports.

Job Responsibilities

• Own the data lifecycle: design, implement, and maintain reliable data pipelines to extract, transform, and load data from various internal and external sources.
• Architect and manage the data warehouse: structure the data model to support reporting, analytics, and scalability.
• Automate and optimize ETL processes: ensure data freshness, accuracy, and performance.
• Integrate data with BI tools: connect the warehouse to visualization platforms helping the organization become more data driven.
• Collaborate across teams: work with stakeholders in marketing, finance, product, and operations to understand data needs, prioritize initiatives, and help them deliver actionable insights.
• Implement best practices: establish standards for data quality, documentation, version control, and governance.

Who You Are

• University degree or equivalent experience

• 2+ years of experience in data engineering or a similar role
• Proficiency in SQL and a programming language like Python for data manipulation and pipeline automation
• Hands-on experience working with ETL frameworks and cloud-based data platforms
• Knowledge of data modeling, schema design, and optimization techniques for analytics workloads
• Experience integrating with or managing BI and visualization tools
• Familiarity with setting up Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Pulumi, Terraform)
• Pragmatic and solution-oriented mindset
• Excellent communication skills, ability to translate complex data concepts for non-technical stakeholders
• Comfortable working independently with sense of ownership of the product
