Would you like to be a part in setting the technical roadmap solutions for SEB? The Data & Analytics team is looking for a Senior Data Engineer with strong technical skills to join us on our exciting transformation journey to develop a new modern data platform.
What you’ll be doing
We are a dev-ops team responsible for a wide range of data deliveries, both for reporting and analytical purposes, often required by law and regulatory demands. We are modernizing our platform, by rebuildingthe functionality we have on-premises into GCP, and you will have an important part inthis technical migration by leading the software development.You will focus more specifically on building ETL processes and data flows in GCP native tools, such asDataform and Big Query.
As part of our delivery team, you will often laugh and have a good time with your team members. We enjoy humour and sharing fun times. You will regularly communicate and collaborate with colleagues and key stakeholders.Furthermore, you will provide knowledge and guidance in the technical vision, mentor and continuously help improve team members performance in addition to developing the latest solutions.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Working on and implementing the technical roadmap for how we want to make data available withinand outside the Savings & Investments area.
- Collaborating with architects, product owners and developers.
- Coaching more junior colleagues.
Who we are looking for
To succeed in your role,we think that you have:
- Extensive experience insoftware development minimum 5 years, experience from a cloud or containerized stack with virtual infrastructure, preferably GCP.
- A deep understanding of data modelling concepts, ETL processesand how to build a good data infrastructure with a modern setup.
- A team player personality with skills in collaboration and leadership, used to collaborating in a multicultural environment.
- Advanced knowledge of Python and SQL.
- Designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines using technologies such as Dataform,Google BigQuery, Docker, Pub/Sub, and Airflow.
- Experience with modern DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, version control using GitLab and infrastructure as code using Terraform.
- Experience with modern data architectures, such as Event-driven, Data Lake, Data Warehouse and Lake House.
- Experience with modern data modeling techniques like Dimensional Modeling and Data Vault.
