Senior Mainframe MQ Engineer

What you will be doing

You will be part of the Mainframe and IBMi tribe that consist of several technical teams in total approx. 45 persons. The IMS/MQ team consists of 7 persons responsible for operation, maintenance and development of IMS and MQ in a large and challenging environment. We use standard IBM products, as well as writing our own. Together with the team, you will be responsible for daily delivery, maintenance and support to other IT-departments within the bank. You will work with problem solving, system development, automation and driving change to thrive towards a modern and effective Mainframe platform - well aligned with the digital roadmap of SEB.

Who we are looking for

You are a skilled MQ engineer with solid experience within larger Mainframe environments. You are a driven team player and can work independently. You are a “doer” with a result-oriented mindset taking a strong accountability for your area of responsibility. We eventually see that you would be ready for oncall duties. If you also have experience of working with or an interest in learning IMS on Mainframe you would be a great addition to the team.

You have the following qualities:

• Good knowledge and experience of MQ in Mainframe

• Contribute in all areas; analyze, design, develop, test, document and maintain services delivered by the team

• Communication and collaboration skills

• Ability to work with multiple teams and cross-culture

• Experience from and interest in an agile way of working

• A relevant university degree or equivalent work experience

• Fluent in Swedish and English in both speech and writing

• Great if you also have an interest in learning Mainframe IMS
