Role summary

Our Infotainment and Driver Display testing team is primarily focused on testing the new Digital Dashboard to ensure that the software meets our company's quality objectives. We are responsible for testing systems and functions in areas such as Infotainment and Driver Display.  

 

The group comprises four different teams: System, Vehicle, and Function Test teams, as well as the Defect Management team. It is a diverse and multicultural group, with members located in various parts of the world. This diversity provides us with great flexibility and a broader perspective, which are essential when tackling complex challenges.

 

Would you like to join our highly motivated test team? We are currently seeking a passionate Software Developer within test architecture to join our System Test team and be part of defining and shaping our strategy, Systemization and improvement activities in the Digital Dashboard project. 

Job responsibilities 

You will work in a dynamic environment, with a focus on providing the team with technical and strategic guidance with regard to process, methods, tools, and rig development. You will be expected to explore new features and concepts in our own developed test tool/framework to facilitate the creation of test cases and test scenarios for the System Test Team. In this role, you will work in a global environment with members of the System Test and the HIL team situated in other TRATON sites.

 

Job activities

• Define and own the overall test strategy
• Design scalable, maintainable, and robust test frameworks and infrastructure that support system testing
• Lead the evaluation and adoption of tools for test automation
• Drive testability in software and system design by providing architectural input and best practices
• Mentor and guide test engineers across teams on topics such as test design and coverage analysis
• Continuously assess and improve test maturity, proposing strategic initiatives for automation

Who you are

• Proven experience as a Senior Software Test Engineer or Test Architect in a complex software development environment.
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, including test strategy, test planning, and test automation.
• Proven work experience within software development and strong knowledge of software testing principles.
• Proficiency in scripting or programming languages such as Python, C++, or Java.
• Solid experience working within vehicle communication protocols such as CAN.
• Excellent communication & presentation skills.
• Self-organized, dynamic, and motivated.

 

You have a Bachelor´s or Master´s degree in the fields of embedded systems, mechatronics, computer science, electronics or similar, along with relevant work experience. You are proficient in English, and it is a merit if you can speak Swedish. C, CE & D driving licences are meriting.
