About the role:
Group Internal Audit (GIA) is an independent unit that reports directly to SEB’s Board of Directors via the Audit and Compliance Committee. The purpose of the function is to evaluate and give assurance to the Board and the President of SEB that governance, risk management and internal control processes as designed and represented by management are adequate and effective and support the business objectives. The department consists of around ninety professionals that utilises a common global methodology and automated audit tools. This new role within the Group department is designed to meet the emerging requirements of a forward-looking and proactive audit function to help ensure that it remains relevant within SEB.
The person undertaking the Senior Business Advisor role will be responsible for supporting the Head of GIA in the coordination and delivery of the quarterly and annual Group Internal Audit reports to its stakeholders in the Executive Management and Board of SEB. This will include coordination of the Annual Risk Assessment process together and preparing the material to be presented to the Board on the results of the Risk Assessment and development of the annual Audit Plan. Also, for driving the strategic development of resources within the global Audit function, as decided by the Head of GIA, with regards to budget and financial control.
An essential element of the job will include overseeing the training and competence development of the GIA staff to meet the demands of the global Audit activities, but you will also be able to hold training on your own or together with colleagues in the team.
The role will involve coordinating the maintenance and enhancement of the Audit Tool that supports the work of the global Audit team, together with the existing teams working with the Audit Tool. The Senior Business Advisor will also be in regular contact with the SEB External Auditor, currently EY, and deal with upcoming matters. Additionally support the Head of GIA in the contact with supervisors and having a coordinating role when gathering information to different requests coming in from FSA, mainly in Sweden but could also come in other locations. A key attribute of the job will include close cooperation with the GIA management team members that will support the Senior Business Advisor in the delivery of the various tasks.
