Senior Accountant to LOTS Group

Gazella is currently recruiting a Senior Accountant to LOTS Group, a company within Scania and TRATON’s strategic business portfolio focused on shaping the future of transport and logistics.

LOTS is expanding their accounting team to develop and deliver accounting services to sister companies within the portfolio. In the Senior Accountant role, you will take full ownership of accounting and reporting for one or more of the sister companies. As the new services are under development, initial focus areas include process design and implementation, customer onboarding and setting up system environments.

The role is located at the LOTS Stockholm office in close vicinity to the central station. However, LOTS offers flexibility of working from home in part, depending on tasks and in agreement with your manager. As we are a global organization, international travel can be expected on occasion. 

Your challenge

With full ownership, you will manage the accounting and reporting for one or more of our sister companies. As our Shared Services evolves, you will help onboard new entities by setting up efficient processes and systems. Many of the entities have international subsidiaries and rely on external suppliers to manage their books. In this role, you will work closely with those suppliers and local finance teams to ensure high-quality, timely deliverables and report financials at Group level.

Your responsibilities

You will report to our Global Accounting Manager (GAM) directly under the Group CFO. The GAM is responsible for the accounting function at LOTS including our emerging Shared Services. You will be working closely with the GAM to establish the new service, implement best practices and maintain the overall quality and efficiency in deliverables.   

In the role of Senior Accountant your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: 
 

• Help design and implement efficient accounting processes for the new shared service model.
• Take ownership of general bookkeeping, monthly closings, and financial reporting for assigned sister companies.
• Yearly book closing activities and preparing annual reports and income tax returns.
• Ensure accuracy, compliance, and timeliness in line with group policies and local regulations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including tax, treasury, and controllers in parent and sister companies.
• Contribute to continuous improvement efforts and automation of processes.
• Assist in onboarding new companies into the service and act as a key point of contact.
• Provide guidance to junior accounting professionals in work planning, delegation, and supervision, while actively supporting day-to-day tasks (e.g., AP and AR) when required

Your experience/qualifications

To succeed in this position, we expect that you have a Bachelor’s level degree within relevant area or an accountant degree (redovisningsekonom) with 5+ years’ experience in accounting and financial reporting. You are an accounting professional with strong knowledge of accounting principles and high proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., Business Central, SAP, Oracle, or similar). You should also have high proficiency in MS Office, most critically Excel. Fluency in both Swedish and English is required, as you will be communicating in both languages on a daily basis. Additionally, documented project management experience is advantageous.
