Role Summary
As Unit Manager for the Connectivity Platform at TRATON Group R&D Sweden, you will lead a highly skilled team of software and embedded systems engineers building the next generation of connectivity solutions for all TRATON brands. From high-performance computing units to IoT and cloud integration, your team contributes directly to transforming global transport. In this role, you’ll combine strategic leadership with people development and drive the evolution of our connectivity platform as part of a global transformation.
As Unit Manager, you will lead the development and delivery of Connectivity ECUs within the TRATON Modular System. Your key responsibilities include:
• Leading, coaching and supporting a team of embedded and software engineers.
• Developing team capabilities to meet evolving technical and business needs.
• Managing partner relationships with external development suppliers.
• Supporting the long-term technology roadmap for Connectivity ECUs.
• Ensuring alignment with TRATON-wide ways of working and handling local escalations.
• Overseeing recruitment, staffing and personal development of unit team members.
• Hosting key triad roles such as System Architects and Release Train Engineers.
• Driving organizational transformation as part of the TRATON R&D shift.
Who You Are
You are an experienced leader with a background in embedded systems, software development or electrical/electronic component engineering. You hold an MSc in Mechanical, Electrical or Vehicle Engineering—or equivalent—and bring a solid understanding of system development. You are passionate about people development, thrive on building strong teams and know how to turn vision into action. You navigate change with confidence, encourage collaboration, and lead with integrity and purpose.
