The role

We are looking for a senior strategist to join our strategy and consulting practice in the Nordics. As a member of the strategy team, you will report to the VP Strategy & Consulting, Europe and will play a key role in translating Valtech’s brand promise and growth culture to high-impact experience innovation for our clients in the Nordics and beyond.

The role offers a varied mix of strategy focused proposal development, go-to-market activities, internal and external stakeholder management – as well as a large element of delivery focused project and program leadership.

This includes:

Helping Valtech win more work, and uncover new opportunities

• Work with our Client Partners to develop a deep understanding of client needs and grow our presence in existing client organisations

• Develop proposals and win work across our target and growth verticals by applying a differentiating strategic dimension to our engagements

Leading strategy projects and programs

• Work in cross-functional teams with our clients to explore, validate and develop high-impact strategies focused on a combination of commercial / go-to-market strategy, product or service strategy, data & technology strategy and organisational strategy.

• Help clients succeed in their efforts to deliver “experience innovation” to their customers faster than their competition.

Supporting VALTECH delivery teams with your subject matter expertise:

• In-project coaching and mentoring to help us deliver the best possible work and uncover commercial opportunities

• Broader internal coaching and mentoring to solidify our growth culture and help junior colleagues rapidly progress and develop

Helping Valtech build its presence and credentials

• Develop thought leadership related content and activities to drive awareness of what we do and how we do it

• Representation of VALTECH at targeted industry events and conferences

Type of person we’d love to meet

• You have in-house and/or consultancy experience focused on translating complex business problems and market trends into a combination of digital strategy, product or service strategy, commercial strategy, go-to-market strategy, data & technology strategy and/or organisational strategy

• You have experience developing and delivering comprehensive proposals to new and existing clients

• You thrive on leading and effectively communicating strategy recommendations to C level stakeholders

• You have experience approaching strategy development holistically - both from a desirability, a viability and a feasibility perspective

• You have experience working cross-functionally on projects which involve design, technology and data

• You have a good understanding of the progression from early discovery through to development, implementation and operations

• You have a good grasp of the interplay between market drivers, business ambitions, organisational capabilities, technology enablers and customer experience

• You’re comfortable establishing guidance and direction against a backdrop of ambiguity on the part of the clients you work with

• You have experience in one or more of the following industries; healthcare / life sciences, automotive and/or manufacturing

• You have a well-rounded strategy toolbox of frameworks and techniques

• You are passionate about the transformative impact of technology at large

• You have experience planning and facilitating collaborative workshop formats

• You have experience navigating the complex organisational dynamics of large clients
