Within the engine development organization at R&D, the NMC section is responsible for fuel system development and integration. Our strength lies in our deep knowledge of the individual components that make up the fuel system. We use this knowledge to optimize the fuel system used on Scania internal combustion engines.
The group, Injector and Ignition Systems, is overall responsible for the fuel injection and ignition system. Responsibilities include validation, testing and calibration. The system plays an essential role in achieving high engine efficiency and therefore we have a broad collaboration in engine and control system development and leading suppliers in fuel system technology.
As a Development Engineer in the group, you will be responsible for the work required to develop and integrate the fuel injector into ongoing development projects with respect to its performance. Your duties will vary from day to day but will include the following:
In your work you will be supported by the team members. We are an experienced group of engineers who collaborate and share our knowledge to ensure we reach our common goals.
The role is an excellent career move for those with an interest in performance related component development. Experience from engine development as well as experience from Scania is meritorious but we work actively with internal training. The most important thing is that you are a team player who has the drive and willingness to learn and expand your knowledge in fuel system development. You should be a civil or university engineer, have the ability to work proactively and collaborate easily with cross-functional teams within the company. As our collaboration includes suppliers from all over the world, it is important that you master both English and Swedish in speech and writing.
In return, we can offer a stimulating work environment with good opportunities to grow and develop in the field of fuel systems.
