To strengthen our ability to build a modern digital ecosystem that enables a data driven Scania we are now looking for a Data Mesh Architect to join our architectural office.

Your role

Our view of a Data Mesh architect is that you work in the borders of analytical and operational data, making sure that both perspectives are met. With a steady focus on the data as the central piece in this puzzle, you also cover the technologies and processes needed to make things work for our daily business to utilize the power of data. You can switch perspectives from the analytical landscape with datalakes, statistical optimization and intuitive visualization – via integration protocols, real time data streaming and basic connectivity – to software architecture, semantic web stack technologies and ontologies.

In your role you engage with top management, business developers as well as the IT-architectural community to inspire and provide strategic recommendations, target architecture, decision material, enterprise guardrails and to ensure that we understand the consequences of the decisions we take.

You lead or participate in assignments to develop strategy, target architecture and roadmaps as well as to ensure groupwide execution of strategy.

You are probably already part of a thriving community diving into new capabilities offered by the data mesh, where data products are served independently to create new products and services.

Evolving the structure and mechanisms of such an ecosystem is your passion and expertise - which you bring into our global organisation to further develop our ability to utilize the power of software and data.

• You have a strong background with architectural work within global organisations with a focus on data.
• You have an agile mindset and hands on approach to develop and drive architectural work.
• You have the ability to translate complicated technical discussions to business language and vice versa.
• You thrive in a global, complex and everchanging environment - where you build trust and drive change through continuous dialogue.
