Head of Technology

Estrid is on a full-time mission to create the brands of the future with the customer and experience in focus. In order to meet the ambitious company goals, they are looking for a Head of Technology to scale the rapidly growing team and overall business by providing technical leadership to all aspects of Estrid. 

We are on the lookout for a true Tech-leader with a vision to build game-changing tech architecture and teams to develop best-in-class, community-focused digital brands. You will be leading the growth and drive the tech strategy of Estrid to successfully deliver unique, innovative, and engaging digital and offline experiences at scale. 

You will play a key role in the development of building the next generation’s digital brands at scale. You will lead, monitor, and develop their core platforms, including system architecture and design (UX/UI), to ensure they enable growth across several brands and bring exceptional experiences to their community. You will be responsible for researching new technologies for potential improvements, leading and implementing technology strategies for efficiency, and ensuring that Estrid's technological resources align with our business goals.

Among other exciting things you will:

• Build a goal-oriented, results-driven culture across the tech team that constantly learns, tests, iterates, and improves.
  
• Lead and establish a world-class tech team that enables growth and speed.
  
• Lead the outsourced product management and development teams. Create timelines and roadmaps for the development and deployment of technology services.
  
• Set up and maintain the company’s tech environment - such as servers, databases, and external services and tools.
  
• Manage all aspects of analytics, gather insights - and drive actions to turn data into actions across the teams. Set up, analyze, and continuously optimize relevant KPIs to ensure data-driven improvements.
  
• Communicate technical priorities and aspects. Assist departments and integrate data-driven engineering practices to improve efficiency and quality within the organization.

We think that you are a passionate, inspiring, and curious leader who loves speed, and continuously exceeds expectations. You got the ability to grasp everything, from details to understanding the big picture, and can successfully prioritize and execute rapidly with the highest level of quality. You have an in-depth understanding of tech best practices and are continuously at the forefront of understanding new innovations. 

• 3+ years of relevant experience of leading a tech team and scaling for fast growth.
  
• Technical background as a developer or architect.
  
• A solid business understanding and interest in online customer behavior.
  
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to handle multiple projects.
  
• Analytical and data-driven mindset and speed.
  
• Fluent in English, and a great communicator. 
  
• An academic degree within tech (a business degree, in addition, is a plus).
