Want to be part of a team transforming a billion-dollar industry? This is an incredible opportunity to be a key player and part of the foundation in an awarded disrupting start-up.
As one of our first back-end engineer (and one of the first technical team members overall), you will have the opportunity to establish a foundation for the future of software engineering in Loop Rocks. It would be your call, together with our CTO, to set up the strategy, guidelines and direction of the development team for Loop Rocks.
We are about to build up the new stack using NodeJS from the ground up. With that in mind, we are looking for an open-minded senior engineer who is passionate about NodeJS ecosystem but at the same time open for other languages as well. Maybe we need to code line or two in Python from time to time to support our Infrastructure team also.
The basic idea for our future platform will be based on microservice event-driven architecture.
Loop Rocks is a start-up initiated by Nordic Construction Company (NCC) to provide a solution to one of the construction industry's largest challenges - the handling and transportation of masses from construction sites. By utilising Loop Rocks, the entire construction industry, as well as end-users, can handle waste and secondary masses in a smarter, cost-reducing, more efficient and environmentally friendly manner.
Loop Rocks is an open marketplace for stone, earth and other building masses. All Loop Rocks users benefit by reducing time, costs and environmental impact by using less virgin materials and unnecessary transportation resulting in lower CO2 emissions. Loop Rocks provides transparency, working to make the entire construction industry more circular.
Loop Rocks launched June 2016 and had already handled over 1.5 million ton of masses thru the app, with 6000 users connecting more than 1,500 sites throughout Sweden and Denmark. We are launching in Finland end of October and then Norway before expanding into the rest of Europe. The app is free of charge and available for both Android and iOS.
