The primary role of the Traffic Manager (TM) is to manage the delivery of digital advertising campaigns and help develop an audience for our network of websites via a combination of paid, earned and owned media. The TM should have experience working with online analytics tools, 3rd party ad serving tools, and an interest in big data and data science. This position is a hub­based and could serve more than one market.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop the content marketing distribution strategy and budgets for paid, owned and earned channels - following a cost­efficient approach.
  • Complete data entry and setup of paid campaigns, along with general reporting and analysis functions as needed.
  • Monitor advertiser’s campaigns on an ongoing basis to ensure timely launch and proper delivery of all KPIs as well as optimization and reporting.
  • Liaise with a variety of external vendors, including: ad networks, native advertising networks, social media platforms, publishing sites, among others.
  • Analyze website traffic trends and patterns to help improve the product and user experience, focusing on: ROI, audience growth, cost per conversion, etc.
  • Create monthly and quarterly reports to analyze campaign performance for external and internal stakeholders.
  • Manage various aspects of technical implementation, testing and innovation for ad products and custom builds. 


Requirements

  • Highly analytical with strong quantitative skills, ability to interpret various sources of data, and a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with online analytics tools - Adobe Omniture preferred.
  • Experience with 3rd party ad servers - DoubleClick for Publishers preferred.
  • Intermediate skills in HTML and familiarity with Javascript, CSS, and web coding 
concepts preferred.
  • Ability to independently handle multiple tasks in a fast­paced environment under tight 
deadlines and strict budgets.
  • Strong creative problem­solving skills and an ability to come up with unique solutions 
to complex problems.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • High level of attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. 

  • Demonstrated proclivity in Technology, Internet and/or Media/Advertising
