3 D Animator

Viaplay Studios Animation is a part of the Viaplay Group family that is home to one of the world’s fastest growing streaming companies, Viaplay. Viaplay Studios Animation is now searching for a 3D Animator to join the team between end of January to end of June 2023.

YOUR CHALLENGE

We are now looking for a talented animator to work with keyframe animation for quadrupeds and enhancing recorded motion capture data for humanoids. For this you need a deep understanding of both 3D animation and storytelling to take every shot to the next level.

You will work closely with the animation team, layout team and the inhouse director to make sure we are doing everything we can to enhance the visual storytelling. In this position you will also get the unique opportunity to interact with the whole inhouse animation pipeline, from editor to VFX artists.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

The ideal candidate has experience with character animation and a passion for story. A bonus is experience and interest in how the pipeline can be made more efficient.

Requirements

• Experienced in using Maya

• Skills in animating both human and creature characters

• A strong driving force to produce animations of the highest quality and maintain our high-quality standards

• Good communication skills and experience from working in a team environment

• Knowledge of the wider animation production pipeline

• Experience from facial character animation for both realistic and stylized

Bonus Skills

• Experience with Motion-Capture data, both in polish and enhancement

• Prop rigging

• Knowledge of the wider animation process
