Development Engineer to Gas Development

Detta jobb är inaktivt och går inte att söka längre.

About the job

Customized solutions for trucks is an important and growing area where Scania aims to fulfil specific customer demands and to enter new segments and markets.

The section RSM is responsible for the development of customized trucks in areas from alternative fuels and electrification to specialized applications such as mining, heavy haulage and fire trucks. Everything we do starts with a direct customer request. We strive for a work environment where we help and trust each other and all skills and experiences are utilized in the best way possible. Now you have the opportunity to be a part of one of the most caring groups at Scania – come join us!

About the position
As an Special-order designer you are not developing a part of the truck, you are building the whole truck to fulfil a certain customer demand. This also means that you will quickly see the final result of your work. You are using the Scania structure and the modular system in creative ways to fulfil the demands. If needed you will design and introduce completely new parts.

Our group RSMG specializes in trucks that have compressed or liquified gas as fuel. Our team handles everything from requests of new products from different markets to development of these products. We take responsibility from idea to the actual truck leaving the gates at Scania. You will become a generalist in whole vehicle but a specialist in gas!

The group works as a tight team with an open climate and share experiences openly and support each other. We never say No, we always ask ourselves How.

We work cross functional and the role includes cooperation with people from all over Scania, such as production, purchasing, marketing, distributors, aftermarket and other departments within R&D – hence you will develop a broad network within Scania. You will be part of the gas community.

Your Profile
We see that you are a positive and social team player, eager to learn and like to work with various tasks. You are good at building relationships and create team spirit, and have the ability to share experiences and information with your colleagues in a generous way. In this role you will have to perform tasks on your own and in a team setup with a high pace which demands initiative, communication and cooperation skills. Your manager will trust you to do your best and to take responsible for your own work and projects, and when you need it you will always have support.

As a Development engineer at Gas development you need to be a graduate engineer (or similar) and have experience of development. You are interested in the complete solution rather than the details and you prefer to think creative and work within shorter assignments rather than with far-reaching projects. Work experience from similar positions is an advantage and experience from working with gas and tools such as OAS and Catia is meriting.

We look forward to receiving your application including a CV, cover letter and copies of degrees and certificates. Selections will be done on an ongoing basis.

For more information you are welcome to contact Lina Orbéus, Head of RSMG,
