Detta jobb är inaktivt och går inte att söka längre

About the job

We are now looking for development engineers, both senior and more novice to join our team with a focus on customized solutions for trucks, an important and growing area where Scania aims to fulfill specific customer demands and to enter new segments and markets.

Customized truck development at Scania is responsible for the development of customized trucks in areas from alternative fuels and electrification to specialized applications such as mining, heavy haulage, and fire trucks. Everything we do starts with a direct customer request. We strive for a work environment where we help and trust each other and all skills and experiences are utilized in the best way possible. Now you have the opportunity to be a part of one of the most caring groups at Scania – come to join us!

About the position
As a Development engineer at Customized truck development, you are not developing a part of the truck, you are building the whole truck to fulfill certain customer demands. This also means that you will quickly see the final result of your work. You are using the Scania structure and the modular system in creative ways to fulfill the demands. If needed you will design and introduce completely new parts.

Our group RSMG (Customized truck development Gas) specializes in trucks that have compressed or liquified gas as fuel. Our team handles everything from requests for new products from different markets to the development of these products. We take responsibility from the idea to the actual truck leaving the gates at Scania. You will become a generalist in the whole vehicle but a specialist in gas!

The group works as a tight team with an open climate, share experiences openly, and support each other. We never say No, we always ask ourselves How. We work cross-functionally and the role includes cooperation with people from all over Scania, such as production, purchasing, marketing, distributors, aftermarket, and other departments within R&D – hence you will develop a broad network within Scania. You will be part of the gas community.

Your Profile
As we are looking to hire several development engineers, your particular assignments will be decided together with your manager depending on your previous experience. Regardless of which level you start at, we see that you are a positive and social team player, eager to learn, and like to work with various tasks. You share your energy, are good at building relationships and creating team spirit, and have the ability to share experiences and information with your colleagues in a generous way. In this role, you will have to perform tasks on your own and in a team set up at a high pace which demands initiative, communication, and cooperation skills. Your manager will trust you to do your best and to take responsibility for your own work and projects, and when you need it you will always have support.

As a Development engineer at Gas development,

  • you need to be a graduate engineer (or similar) and have experience in development
  • you are interested in the complete solution rather than the details
  • you prefer to think creatively and work within shorter assignments rather than with far-reaching projects
  • if you have work experience from similar positions it is an advantage
  • experience from working with gas and tools such as OAS and Catia is also meriting

Application
We look forward to receiving your application including a CV and copies of degrees and certificates. Selections will be done on an ongoing basis.
