Senior Manager, Strategy

We are now looking for a Senior Manager, Strategy to join Packaging Materials’ Finance, Strategy and Digitalization organization in a permanent role. You will have the opportunity to drive important and strategic questions for Packaging Materials, and together with decision makers shape the future of the Packaging Materials Division. As a Senior Manager, Strategy you will have the responsibility to drive strategic projects, analyse industry trends, contribute to strategy development, and prepare decision materials for management.

The position can be located in Helsinki, Stockholm or any other relevant Packaging Materials location.

Senior Manager, Strategy, Packaging Materials

In this role, you will:

• Lead strategic projects from scoping and planning to execution, ensuring alignment with our corporate goals
• Participate in the annual strategy process and contribute to the development of the Divisional strategy
• Develop, track and report on strategy KPIs, and suggest/initiate activities to drive improvement
• Analyse industry developments and competitor moves and its implications for Packaging Materials and Stora Enso.
• Collaborate closely with business units, serving as a trusted advisor and strategic business partner
• Prepare and present decision-making materials in relevant forums, as well as prepare strategy communication materials
• Participate in the overall development of the Strategy, ERM, and business intelligence function in Packaging Materials.

Qualifications

You have a proven track record of working with complex strategic tasks and leading strategic projects. You also have the talent for grasping the big picture, being quick in understanding, structuring and addressing issues at hand. Additionally, you have a good business sense as well as understanding of the packaging and board industry. Furthermore, you have:

• MSc in Business Administration, Economics or Industrial Engineering​ or a related field
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience​ in strategy development, management consulting, or similar roles
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to conduct thorough research and analysis
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
• Experience from creating business cases and working with M&A
• Experience from creating Board of Directors and Leadership team presentations
• Ability to lead and collaborate with business units and cross-functional teams
• Fluent in English both verbally and written, other languages are an advantage
• Experience from packaging and packaging materials sector is an advantage
• Experience using AI to achieve business goals in a large organization is an advantage
