Scania is currently under transformation from a traditional truck manufacturer into a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions. In addition, Autonomy and Electrification is transforming the complete vehicle-industry. There are major challenges and opportunities a head! At Scania and at RCC we are embracing this change and want to develop along with it.
RCCC are responsible for strength- and fatigue simulations related to Cab Department and crash simulation for the entire truck. The group is also responsible for the vehicle property Passive Safety.
The group is a key player in Scania:s continues improvements striving to optimize for low weight, safety, reliability and cost and also to reduce lead-times by introducing more automation in the simulation area.
RCCC as a group are involved in many new interesting projects. As an example RCCC is highly involved in Scania's development towards battery electric powered vehicles, mainly from crash safety perspective where the batteries need to be protected but also in other areas for future cab generations and trucks adapted for Electrification and Autonomy.
The group are also in close contact with universities and research initiatives, participating in Ph.D. projects and master thesis within many different topics.
Tasks
You will as a leader for RCCC be involved in several larger projects where simulation results will be crucial for success in meeting project targets in time. The work must be in close cooperation with other groups within Cab Development and other departments within R&D to achieve success.
We need your competence, will and driving force to coordinate the simulation work in this exciting time.
You will have the responsibility to lead and support a group of 8 engineers in the simulation area and you must together with the group continuously improve the methods and processes to meet the future demands.
Your Profile
You are a person with experience from R&D with good knowledge of our development process and how to design truck/cab components. Previous background from design, simulations or testing is of high merit. We think that you have earlier leadership experience.
A large and well established network at Scania is also of great value.
