We are looking for a tribology simulation engineer for electrified and conventional powertrain applications. You will be involved in presenting the needs for tribological simulations and testing. You will collaborate closely with other tribology engineers, design engineers, test and simulation engineers.
You will perform your own models, simulations, assessments and optimizations, both on your own and in focus group and project constellations.
Your contribution will be much needed in both future technological solutions and in our current project deliveries, all from an end customer approach.
We are a team with lots of different responsibilities, cultures and diversity. We have the design responsibility for driveline gears, product property target for acoustics, dynamics and load data calculations. We are also specialists in tribology, involved in international projects that push the boundaries of research and innovation. We work both from our team, and within the flow agile landscape (VCT), in a local and global context with colleagues within the Scania and TRATON organization.
To maintain an efficient cooperation and innovation work, we are physically at the Scania office at least three days per week. This means that you have to live close to the Södertälje site.
You are structured, practical, takes initiatives and have good coordinating abilities. You are a team player and will work in close cooperation with our neighbouring design teams, purchasing department, manufacturing and production units. Besides a foundation within mechanical engineering and tribology, it would be a plus if you also have experience in programming and simulation software tools.
