As a key member of the leadership team, the CTPO will also play a crucial role in guiding the overall strategic agenda and contributing to the leadership of the entire organization.
Responsibilities:
Technology Management:
- Oversee the architecture, infrastructure, and development processes to ensure scalability, security, and reliability in relation to regulatory and compliance requirements
- Manage the technology budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources to meet strategic goals.
- Implement best practices in software development, quality assurance, and project management.
Product vision and execution:
- Set the direction for the development roadmap in alignment with company strategy and long term goals
- Decide on build versus buy of critical systems and components considering life cycle cost of ownership and development time
Leadership:
- Serve as a visionary leader for the technology and product team, setting a clear and ambitious direction.
- Inspire, motivate, and energize the team to achieve extraordinary results.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative environment where creativity and ideas thrive.
Strategic Planning & Execution:
- Maintain a comprehensive overview of ongoing projects, ensuring all initiatives are aligned with strategic priorities.
- Identify emerging technologies and trends, positioning the company to leverage them for competitive advantage.
Team Development & Mentorship:
- Build and mentor a high-performing technology and product team, encouraging professional growth and development.
- Create an environment that promotes continuous learning, experimentation, and exchange of ideas.
- Empower team members to take ownership of their projects while providing guidance and support when needed.
Collaboration & Communication:
- Work closely with the CEO and other executive team members.
- Communicate complex tech/product concepts in a clear and accessible manner to non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure technology solutions meet the needs of various departments.
Who are you?
- Proven experience from a technology leadership role, with a passion for innovation and with a strong track record of delivering results.
- Experience in driving growth and working towards profitability in a scaleup environment is a valuable asset.
- Experience from a product-led, agile environment—balancing user needs, ROI, technical complexity, and compliance.
- Proven ability to balance day-to-day operational responsibilities with strategic planning and execution.
- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
- Strong strategic thinking with the ability to set a clear vision and direction.
- Deep understanding of emerging technologies and their potential business impact.
- Deep understanding of the technological landscape and opportunities related to automation/machine learning and AI
- Understanding of cybersecurity including vulnerability and incident management from a practical perspective
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
- Experience in building and managing high-performing teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly address complex challenges.
