Who you are

We are looking for a purpose-led Healthy & Sustainable Living Leader for our Circular & Sustainable Living Team, reporting to the Circular & Sustainable Living Manager. You will be a key player in delivering our ambition to inspire and enable many people to live healthy and more sustainable lives. Centered on life at home, and the IKEA offer of products, services and knowledge, this includes the areas of energy, water, waste and circular behaviours, as well as healthier and more sustainable diets.

The ideal candidate for this role should possess extensive knowledge and passion for healthy and sustainable living. A proven track record in driving behaviour change and enabling individuals to adopt healthier and more sustainable lifestyles. Additionally, they should have experience in implementing new strategies that have produced tangible business value within a commercial and marketing organisation. They should preferably know how products can be produced with a lower environmental and social impact and how they can be substantiated.

To be successful in this role, you have:

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a senior leader in a global retail organisation or brand
• A proven track record of interdependent leadership skills – you can communicate a broad understanding of strategic goals and objectives and take action across the business in order to achieve results through others
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills – you seek collaboration cross-functionally to reach the highest possible impact and build strong and trustful relationships on different levels inside and outside IKEA
• Previous experience and extensive knowledge in how to influence change and nudge consumer behaviour, preferably in the context of sustainability.

Your responsibilities

You will be responsible for leading, developing, and facilitating the Ingka strategic direction of Healthy and Sustainable Living within the Circular & Sustainable Living team, as well as facilitating commitments and contributions to deliver to our sustainability ambitions with internal and external stakeholders.

Further, you will work with the Strategy manager to design, lead, and organise the assigned Strategic Topic Area within Ingka, across IKEA, and with external partners as well as contribute to the development and facilitation of the Ingka strategic direction in the area of expertise by:

• Developing and establishing the guiding principles, policies, and business requirements, aligned and up to date with current and upcoming legislation
• Working with stakeholders across the IKEA value chain, to identify opportunities to accelerate our sustainability ambition
• Working with stakeholders to define prioritised initiatives for the business development and innovation roadmap and other deliveries contributing to the strategic and commercial agenda
• Clarifying roles and responsibilities across the organisation to deliver the strategic direction
• Securing the right competence and knowledge throughout Ingka by providing content to learning solutions and facilitating learning activities
• Contributing to the development a long-term strategic engagement plan that contributes to our overall objectives across all parts of the business

You will be responsible for providing expert advice to proactively support the business and senior management with direction, tools, and knowledge and the development of KPIs and measurement frameworks. Furthermore, you will serve as an external advocate/ spokesperson for Ingka in the area of expertise of to position our brand, cultivate strategic partnerships, and influence societal change.

This role is a permanent position based in Malmö, Sweden. In this recruitment, IKEA is providing international relocation support if needed.
