We are looking for a Claim Handling Specialist

We are now looking for a Claim Handling specialist who will contribute to total IKEA business through enabling an efficient and effective claim handling for our Buyers of Retail Equipment and Furnishing Components & Materials. The role will focus on leading the claim handling within the Market function at IKEA Components.

The Market function is responsible to be the one point of entry for the buyers and to establish good relationship with all involved stakeholders. Market is responsible to manage, develop and improve the offer of components and retail equipment, to reduce total cost along with securing availability and sustainability.

Claim Handling Specialist secures that operational activities connected to claims is conducted in professional way towards concerned Retail Buyers and Home Furnishing Supplier. Securing a service minded and professional approach to all IKEA Components business partners.

Your main responsibilities as Claim Handling Specialist are:

  • Leading of claim handling within Market working together in a global team with 3 other colleagues supporting cross sites
  • Participation in Quality Matrix meeting at IKEA Component
  • Taking part in development and improvement of claim handling process at IKEA Components, including system development and support
  • Be a member of “the working group” during complex claims for IKEA Components
  • Facilitate the claim solving process with many different stakeholders
  • Be the point of entry for claims from Buyers

Qualifications required

  • Fluent verbal and written English
  • Understanding of the claim handling process
  • BDS handling (claim handling system)
  • Knowledge of M3 (sales system)
  • Basic knowledge of the component range (Retail Equipment and Furniture Components & Material)
  • Good knowledge of IKEA Components and IKEA Supply Chain
  • Good understanding of the need from IKEA Retail buyers and Home Furnishing suppliers

This position is full time and based in IKEA Components office in Älmhult, Sweden.

You will report to Market Manager Åsa Frostensson and you will belong to a team that is located both in Älmhult and Malacky, Slovakia. In this position, you will be required to travel occasionally to meet with your team in Slovakia.
