Job description

We are looking for you who loves to lead development and operations of a common modern and agile digital work foundation enabling our co-workers to deliver value for IKEA every day. Your target is to ensure scalable and efficient work tools and infrastructure based on shared business need and priorities, automation, and data utilizing shared IKEA capabilities. To do so you should have a customer-centric mindset with focus on delivering end-to-end business value and ability to communicate technologies and services clearly and concisely in business language for training and information purposes.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Lead establishment of IT Service management & IT Operations for IÄAB and subsidiaries utilizing shared IKEA capabilities.
  • Drive a modern and forward-looking approach to E2E Service Orchestration for IÄAB to enable digital innovation and ensure delivery of digital services faster, smarter, and with a great user experience.
  • Accountable for the development and operations of IT Service management & Operations for IÄAB
  • Enable end-to-end monitoring of business processes across individual product / platform teams.
  • Ensure a strong collaboration with IKEA IT stakeholders to ensure agreed ways of working.
  • Support in the definition of the KPIs to evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of E2E Service Orchestration practices, review KPIs and take required actions.
  • Drive integration and automation of our services in collaboration with stakeholders and partners inside and outside of IKEA.
  • Drive budgeting and cost management for the IT Service management & IT Operations area, including both team and tooling dimensions.
  • Instigate culture and values for high performant team.

Qualification

As an IT Operations Leader, we see you as passionate about creating value in IT Operations, about enabling ‘a better everyday life’ through technology and digital innovation. Having desire to continuously find new solutions challenging common ways of working. With deep knowledge of how to lead and motivate in an IT organisation with both people and technology focus equipped with strong knowledge in ITIL, agile frameworks, service governance models and DevOps concept.

  • 5+ years of experience with IT Service Management & Operations (SM&O)
  • 5+ years of experience with implementing and leading Monitoring & Event Management, Capacity & Performance Management and Availability Management practices in global organisations.
  • Experience with leading teams within IT Operations area and managing IT Operations practices in a multi-speed IT environment, i.e. both DevOps and classic ‘build/run’ delivery.
  • Experience with driving automation within IT Operations and with SRE, ITIL and other relevant frameworks.
  • Experience of working with 3rd party IT partners / service providers.
  • Preferable university education in the areas of Business, Engineering, or similar.
