Job Description Summary:

In this role you will work primarily with PCI-compliant infrastructure in AWS cloud environment. You will work together with application teams to continuously develop Zettle’s card payment platform.

You will be working in a small but highly tech-savvy team with plenty of humor. The team constantly interacts with the CORE area where payment transactions are enabled for our merchants – from hardware via APIs and crypto to certifications

Your day-to-day duties will consist of:

• Drive architectural decisions to ensure scalability and security of our payment platform.

• Collaborate with application teams to design, build and run distributed cloud solutions.

• Be part of our team designing and improving our cryptographic posture with our card readers

• Have a central role in developing and improving our automation pipelines including but not limited to CI/CD, patching of system infrastructure.

• Perform regular audit activities.

• Participate in the teams on-call rotation.

• Be a developer on our application stack

Must haves:

• Must have: strong programming experience (preferably JVM languages)

• Must have: Cloud development knowledge (preferably AWS and docker) and a cloud first mentality. Use cloud native features and campaign for them.

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, preferably Terraform)

• Best practices around Security and High Availability

Preferably also:

• Experience building CI/CD pipelines (We use GitHub Actions and AWS CodePipeline)

• Experience with observability tools such as Datadog, Splunk

• HSM and cryptographic key management

• Familiarity with compliance standards like PCE DSS, PCI PIN, P2PE is a plus.
