Business Development Manager

Valtech is looking for a Business Development Manager with focus on IT consulting to join our Nordic organization. A day in the life of a Business Development Manager

As a Business Development Manager, you will be the initial and first point of contact for our new business efforts within the IT consulting business area. You will have a unique opportunity to work across both Demand Generation and Business Development, actively tapping into both areas on a daily basis.

Your primary responsibility will be to proactively approach and engage with our target groups and prospects, build and manage solid leads, and start the conversations that could lead to potential deal closures. 

With smaller and mid-size deals, you will have the opportunity to drive the process to a successful deal closure by yourself. With large deals, you will take part in the entire sales process driven by a Senior Business Development Director. In either case, you will always be supported on the way. You will work closely with our Client Partnerships and Business Development teams, local Staffing teams, international Marketing, Demand Generation teams and other support operations.

More specifically, you will: 

  • Proactively approach our target groups, taking the lead, and starting the dialogue
  • Take lead of incoming business requests, leads and contacts - big and small!
  • Attend different events, network and build connections within the IT consulting area
  • Support in ensuring that Valtech Nordics is achieving ambitious revenue and meets the set growth targets
  • Occasionaly travel for client meetings, primarily across the Nordics

You and the role

You are someone with 2-3 years of experience in sales with specific focus on IT consultancy sector in Sweden, with a backfround from a digital agency, consultancy, or similar environment. You have an enterpreneural spirit and proactive mindset, and are always ready to roll your sleeves up and get things done! 

We would love if you have 

  • Experience within a sales/business development with a main focus on IT consultancy and staffing solutions (selling individual consultants and teams to new clients) 
  • Some exposure to the digital/Tech scene in the Swedish market, along with a keen interest in developing a career as a sales professional in this area
  • Interest in working directly with clients to develop opportunities, building a business network and relationships with brands across the Nordics
  • Understanding of different tech stacks with ability to grasp the type of need and connect with the right talent
  • A passion for people, business development and technology. Curiousity about new trends and promoting an environment where ideas flow and expertise is shared
  • Fluency in both English and Swedish is a strict requirement for this role
