Do you want to build a cloud platform that helps keep medicines safe on their way to patients around the world? At TSS, you will help develop technology used by leading pharmaceutical companies worldwide to monitor temperature-sensitive medicines throughout the supply chain. You will also play a central role as TSS takes the next step from on-prem to Azure.
About the role
As a Cloud Platform Engineer, you will be part of TSS's Cloud Platform team, which builds and runs the platform that TSS's applications and connected products rely on. You will design, build and operate the platform, and take an active part in technology decisions and the technical roadmap.
The platform is a product in itself. Your job is to make it easy for the application teams to build, deploy, and run their services in a secure, compliant, and reliable way. TSS operates in a regulated environment (GxP), where traceability and quality are part of everyday work. You will help turn compliance requirements into practical technical controls, without making them heavier than they need to be.
You will, among other things:
Take part in migrating TSS's on-prem/private cloud environments to Azure, including the IoT cloud that serves a global fleet of around 8,000 gateways.
Build and operate the Kubernetes (AKS) platform, including cluster lifecycle, ingress, service mesh, certificates and secrets.
Develop infrastructure as code with Terraform and Terragrunt, and deployment pipelines with GitHub Actions and GitOps.
Standardize deployment patterns and create templates and golden paths for the development teams.
Set up monitoring and observability and take part in operations and incident handling.
You will work closely with the application teams and the IoT team. TSS is a small organization with short decision paths, so you will have real influence and be expected to take your own initiatives.
The role is based at TSS's office in Solna, with a hybrid setup where the team typically works from the office 2 days per week.
About you
We are looking for a senior engineer with solid experience in building and running cloud platforms in production. You enjoy working close to developers, you have a pragmatic mindset, and you like driving standardization and automation.
We believe you have:
At least 5 years of experience in cloud or platform engineering.
At least 3 years of experience running containers in production, preferably with Kubernetes.
Experience designing and building platforms, not just using them.
Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code using Terraform, and with CI/CD and GitOps pipelines.
Good knowledge of Linux, networking, and monitoring of cloud services.
A master's degree in a relevant technical field.
Fluency in Swedish and English, both written and spoken.
Experience with Azure (AKS, Azure Policy, Container Apps), MySQL, Terragrunt, ArgoCD, service mesh and observability tools such as Grafana, Prometheus or OpenTelemetry is a plus. We also value experience of DevSecOps, supply chain security or incident management, as well as a background in MedTech, pharma or other GxP-regulated environments.
