About this opportunity  

Group Finance at Getinge secures accurate, compliant and timely financial accounting and reporting across the Getinge Group. Within Finance Operations & Transformation, Financial Control Nordics is accountable for the financial controlling process, the quality and compliance of financial accounting for our Nordic legal entities, and the continuous improvement of how we work.

You will lead the Financial Control Nordics team and report to the VP Finance Operations & Transformation. You will work closely with our Shared Service Centre, Business Controlling, Group Finance, Group Treasury and local management, as well as with external auditors and authorities.

In this role, your primary responsibility will be to provide strong, visible leadership for Financial Control across the Nordic region and to be accountable for the quality, integrity and timely delivery of financial accounting and reporting for the Nordic legal entities. You will own the accounting control environment and lead the team through an ongoing agenda of standardization, harmonization and digitalization.

What you will do

• Lead, engage and develop the Financial Control Nordics team, setting clear direction, priorities and measurable objectives aligned with the Finance Operations strategy
• Be accountable for month-, quarter- and year-end closing, Group reporting, statutory accounts and regulatory filings in line with local requirements and Getinge Group accounting policies
• Establish and maintain effective accounting governance and internal controls, and ensure that errors, control deficiencies and audit findings are resolved through root-cause analysis and timely remediation
• Own the relationship with internal and external auditors, from audit planning to closure of findings
• Lead and embed process, system and operating model changes, including standardization, automation and new ways of working, together with the Shared Service Centre, Business Controlling and Group Finance

This position is based at our office in Gothenburg, Sweden, and includes regional travel, primarily within the Nordic countries. The position is eligible for a hybrid setup.

You will bring

To be successful in this position, we believe that you have the following qualifications.

• A university degree in Accounting, Finance and/or Business Administration
• Significant experience from senior roles in financial accounting, financial control or audit, with clear accountability for accounting quality, statutory reporting and compliance
• Proven people leadership experience, including building high-performing teams and coaching leaders and specialists
• Experience leading organizational, process or system change in a complex, cross-functional and preferably international environment
• Strong knowledge of Swedish accounting rules (K2, K3) and IFRS, as well as internal control, audit requirements and accounting governance
• Experience from working with Shared Service Centre or GBS organizations, SAP and Cognos Controller is meritorious
• Fluency in Swedish and English, orally and written
