We are now looking for a SVP of Engineering to take ownership of this journey.
The role This is not a role for someone who wants to maintain the status quo.
You will step into a position where you:
- Lead a distributed engineering organization of currently 25 engineers
- Build and scale a new engineering hub in Stockholm
- Act as a bridge between agile product development and more structured, enterprise-driven requirements
- Partner closely with Product and executive leadership to drive delivery, quality, and long-term scalability
You will report directly to the CEO and work closely with the CTO and founders based in Stockholm.
What you’ll actually do
Your mission is to create clarity, structure, and momentum in a growing and distributed engineering organization.
This includes:
Building & leading the organization
- Take full ownership of the engineering organization and processes (35 people)
- Build and grow the Stockholm engineering team from the ground up
- Drive hiring, team structure, and capability development
Driving execution & delivery
- Ensure predictable, high-quality delivery aligned with the product roadmap
- Improve planning, estimation, and accountability across teams
- Challenge assumptions and push for higher productivity where needed
Establishing modern ways of working
- Balance agile development with more structured processes required by enterprise and government customers
- Introduce scalable engineering practices (CI/CD, DevEx, observability, automation)
- Create a culture of ownership, quality, and continuous improvement
Shaping the future platform
- Contribute to the evolution of a modern, AI-first authorization platform
- Explore how AI can improve both product capabilities and internal engineering efficiency
- Ensure systems are scalable, secure, and enterprise-ready

Who you are
You are a builder and a pragmatic leader.
You know how to create structure without slowing things down—and you’re not afraid to challenge teams when needed.
You likely bring:
- Experience leading engineering organizations of 30+ people
- A strong technical background (ideally Java-based environments, cloud, DevOps, distributed systems)
- Experience from B2B or enterprise software
- A track record of scaling teams and improving delivery in complex environments
- Comfort working across geographies and cultures
It’s a big plus if you have experience in:
- Security and preferably Identity and Access Management (IAM)
- AI/ML-driven development or AI-assisted engineering workflows
Just as importantly, you are:
- Pragmatic and execution-focused
- Comfortable holding teams accountable
- Able to navigate between different stakeholders, cultures, and expectations
- A leader who brings both structure and momentum
