NOBA Bank Group is looking for a driven Credit Risk Analyst with a strong focus on analyzing and managing Non-Performing Loans (NPLs). You will join the Group Portfolio Analytics team, responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the analytics and reporting infrastructure that supports NOBA’s continued growth and sound risk management.
NOBA holds a market-leading position in the Nordics, and the NPL team manages a substantial share of the region’s non-performing loan portfolios, amounting to a net value of c. 11bn SEK. This role offers hands-on exposure to large, complex portfolios, high-quality data, and analytical work that directly influences both commercial and risk-related decisions.
You’ll be key part of a talented group of experienced and highly skilled colleagues across the organization, where your expertise will help shape decision-making and drive continuous improvements in how NPL portfolios are analyzed, managed, and finally divested.
About the role:
As a Credit Risk Analyst at NOBA, you will play a central role in developing and strengthening how NPL portfolios are managed across the bank. Working closely with a cross-functional NPL team, you will combine hands-on data analysis with a strong business understanding to deliver insights that support portfolio performance, strategy, and sales activities related to NPLs.
Main tasks:
Delivering data-driven insights to maximize value creation from NOBA’s NPL portfolio
Building and maintaining a strong understanding of collection data across countries and brands
Designing, maintaining, and continuously improving group-wide NPL reporting, covering:
Debt collection performance
Group NPE strategy
Performance of securitized NPL portfolios
Ensure availability, accuracy, and consistency of data and reports across the Group enabling best-in-class management of NPLs.
Support NPL sales and divestments, including analytical and reporting deliverables
Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders such as Risk Control, Finance, Collections, Underwriting, and Data Engineering
Work with external debt collection agencies and partners on data extraction, quality, and reporting.
We are looking for you who:
3+ years of experience in analytical roles and NPL-related fields, preferably within banking or credit risk.
A degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g. engineering, economics, statistics, or similar)
Strong technical skills in one or more of: SAS, SQL, Python, R
A self-driven, solution-oriented mindset with strong prioritization skills
Excellent collaboration and stakeholder management abilities
Professional proficiency in English and at least one Scandinavian language
It's positive if you also bring:
Experience analyzing debt collection agency (DCA) performance
Experience producing reports for financial authorities (e.g. SFSA)
Hands-on experience with statistical methods such as A/B testing or regression analysis
Experience working across Nordic markets
