The team
The test operations team are responsible for development testing and verification of all the products, Internal combustion engine or Electrified, at Power Solutions. The group has a wide range of responsibilities working both inhouse in test cells and out in the field in close collaboration with our customers and business units. We consist of Engineers and mechanics with a wide range of knowledge supporting each other to reach our goal. We also collaborate closely with the development engineers, sales, and service units at Power Solutions.
Your role
As a test engineer you’re responsible for planning and organising the testing together with development groups, sales organisations, business units and customers. You are working hands on setting up and running tests with diesel engines mainly in testbeds internally and externally but also in the field with customer machines. You are the first line speaking partner for all stakeholders. As the electrification field grows the role can come to include working with e-mobility as well.
Your tasks
• Organising and planning tests with all stakeholders
• Hands on work with setting up and running tests in test bed and in the field
• Analysing and presenting test data
• Support and run improvement work together with colleagues and cross functions to improve our ways of working
The role contains both national and international business travel, normally 2-10 international trips per year.
Your profile
To succeed as a test engineer you need to have good communication skills and organisational skills. You are able to take initiative and proactively seek the information needed for the tests. In testing we work with costly resources and/or we are working directly with customers with high expectations, this requires a good combination of flexibility and structure in your work. We see that you have a good technical knowledge and a willingness to learn, grow and develop together with us.
• Bachelors degree in engineering or similar work experience.
• Fluent in English and might also be in Swedish.
• Experience of working with diesel engines both practically and theoretically.
• Experience working in testbeds.
• Skilled with diagnostics, logging tools, measuring equipment and sensors.
• Experience working within electrification is a merit.
